Stan Jones May 1, 2008 7:48 AM (in response to juskocf)You don't say; the unnumbered markers you should add are sequence, not clip, markers. -

3. Re: Placement "At Unnumbered Markers" disappeared
(Sid_Roberts) Jun 4, 2008 8:47 AM (in response to juskocf)I'm having trouble with this too. It worked once, but not again. I put in the unnumbered markers, used "Automate To Sequence", and the pictures dropped in at the markers correctly. I deleted them and the markers (I don't remember which I deleted first), then put in new unnumbered markers. Now when I go to do Automate To Sequence, the "At Unnumbered Markers" option is not longer displayed. The drop down only has "Sequentially" as Jusko is seeing.
Any help would be VERY appreciated.
Thanks! -
4. Re: Placement "At Unnumbered Markers" disappeared
(Sid_Roberts) Jun 5, 2008 3:34 AM (in response to juskocf)Something I discovered this morning:
I found that if I log on as a different user, the "At Unnumbered Markers" is again available. I can then add the photos to the time line as expected. However, if I save the project, log in using my original user ID, open the project and try to do another "Automate to Sequence", the "At Unnumbered Markers" option is no longer there. I can use the other user ID, but since I don't know what caused the problem to begin with, I expect that it won't be long before something happens that disables the "Unnumbered Markers" option for that user ID also. -
5. Re: Placement "At Unnumbered Markers" disappeared
juskocf Jun 5, 2008 4:02 AM (in response to juskocf)Hi, Sid, I searched the forum after my last post and found a solution :
Delete the pref file --- C:\Users\user id\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Pro\3.0\Adobe Premiere Pro Prefs
then, the "At Unnumbered Markers" option will appear again.
Happy editing.

(Sid_Roberts) Jun 5, 2008 8:40 AM (in response to juskocf)Jusko,
Thanks!! That makes sense. I will try it tonight. I just wish I knew why it did it to begin with so I'd know what to avoid doing again.
Thanks Again,

7. Re: Placement "At Unnumbered Markers" disappeared
juskocf Jun 5, 2008 6:10 PM (in response to juskocf)Sid, it might not be anything wrong that we have done , but it is a bug of the software.
Let me know if the method also works for your.

8. Re: Placement "At Unnumbered Markers" disappeared
(Sid_Roberts) Jun 6, 2008 1:56 AM (in response to juskocf)Jusko,
I agree, it is definitely a bug, I just hope to not stumble on revealing it again. Meanwhile, I got an email from tech support:
"I understand that the #at numbered markers# option is not available when using the #automate to sequence# feature.
I see that by creating a new user account, that you have resolved this
issue. That#s great news. Often times problems in software is the result
of corrupted permissions on a user account. I recommend that you
continue to work under the new account."
I like your idea better. I'd rather delete a file than create a new user ID every time I run into this problem. Meanwhile, I've copied my latest good config file so I can fall back on it after deleting the corrupted one.
As an aside, here's the path to the config file on my PC:
"C:\Documents and Settings\Sid\Desktop\Adobe CS3\Adobe Premiere Pro CS3".
Thanks again for all your help!

juskocf Jun 6, 2008 7:36 PM (in response to juskocf)Sid, glad that you solved your problem finally.
Don't worry about deleting the prefs file, as it will create a new one automatically.
Best Regards
