Tayedrummer May 30, 2008 1:20 PM (in response to Tayedrummer)Nope, this happens every time I open the capture tool. I can turn the VTR on/off, restart the PC and restart Premiere but the broken video remains. -

JSS1138 May 30, 2008 8:00 PM (in response to Tayedrummer)I believe Premiere uses VFW for it's video display. Check your GPU driver, make sure it's up to date. -
5. Re: Capture video window has block artifacts
Averdahl May 31, 2008 1:08 AM (in response to Tayedrummer)Tayedrummer, it is your graphic card that causes this issue. This issue is "only" present on Win XP, not on Vista and is present on all XP computers with a 8800 card. I have not found any workaround regarding this issue other than capturing the video using a card from Blackmagic Design that uses another overlay than Premiere Pro does in a Adobe Project.
The good thing regarding this issue is that the video you capture is unaffected by those three block artifacts.

Tayedrummer Jun 5, 2008 4:42 AM (in response to Tayedrummer)New drivers save the day! I thought I had the most current drivers for this card but I stand corrected. Forceware drivers v175.16 corrected this problem. Thanks forum for the kick in the arse to update them.
Cheers, -

8. Re: Capture video window has block artifacts
Averdahl Jun 7, 2008 2:51 AM (in response to Tayedrummer)Tayedrummer: Thanks for updating the thread. I am on Vista now and was not aware that the nevest drivers for XP solved this issue. I just installed the 175.16 drivers on a XP machine and the blocks are indeed gone! :)
Steven, you got mail!
