Eddie Lotter Feb 16, 2009 7:04 AM (in response to fuaho)Simply remove the "s" in "https" and you will not get the warning.
Cheers

2. Re: Security information popup PITA...
fuaho Feb 16, 2009 8:07 AM (in response to fuaho)Thanks Eddie! Great advice! That works fine.
Why did that happen? I've always used the same "favorites" to link to the forums and never had that problem previously. -
3. Re: Security information popup PITA...
JSS1138 Feb 16, 2009 9:44 AM (in response to fuaho)I'm having forum issues myself recently. Whatever they're doing behind the scenes for the migration seems to already have negative consequences.
I still don't think they should try and fix what ain't broke. -
4. Re: Security information popup PITA...
fuaho Feb 16, 2009 10:09 AM (in response to fuaho)I now have to log in again every single time I return. -

JSS1138 Feb 16, 2009 11:15 AM (in response to fuaho)Yeah, me too. -
6. Re: Security information popup PITA...
Eddie Lotter Feb 16, 2009 12:40 PM (in response to fuaho)My "favorites" link now shows me as a guest which I have to log out of and then log in as myself. Sigh. -
7. Re: Security information popup PITA...
Bill Hunt Feb 16, 2009 12:47 PM (in response to fuaho)Cookies seem to have gotten messed up, hence the log-in situation.
In one of the Adobe fora, I have removed the "s" three times, saved as Favorite OVER the previous URL, and the "s" still comes back. Fortunately not all Adobe fora exhibit this behavior.
Let us only hope that this will not be a repeat of about 2 years ago...

Phil Griffith Feb 16, 2009 12:55 PM (in response to fuaho)I had the same thing last night. I switched to firefox and then everything went ok. So far so good today. I sure hope the forum "improvements" are worth it. -
9. Re: Security information popup PITA...
JSS1138 Feb 16, 2009 1:26 PM (in response to fuaho)I've been using Firefox, and still have this Login issue. -
10. Re: Security information popup PITA...
fuaho Feb 16, 2009 2:14 PM (in response to fuaho)Well, this is one way to get us to ignore the problems with CS4!!!:(
Make it so no one comes to the forums and you can tell your bosses, "Look, there are no complaints about Premiere anymore. We've obviously fixed it!" -
11. Re: Security information popup PITA...
shooternz Feb 16, 2009 2:18 PM (in response to fuaho)I have followed the path provide and relinked to my Adobe Account.
My favourite link is working just as before. -
12. Re: Security information popup PITA...
Bill Hunt Feb 16, 2009 4:44 PM (in response to fuaho)Craig,
Is this at the beginning of a session? I still have to login at the start, but it holds (for now, anyway) for the entire session with each Adobe forum. Close IE and it's login all over again.
Plus, saving the http:// version to my Favorites always jumps back to the https:// URL, so I have to manually remove the "s" for the first session, and then I am good to go, so long as I do not close IE.

13. Re: Security information popup PITA...
shooternz Feb 16, 2009 7:23 PM (in response to fuaho)I am now experiencing the issue at the end of my session.
Before I post this Message ...it will ask me for my password!
ADOBE is going to the dogs it would seem!
EDIT after post : which is exactly what it did. -
14. Re: Security information popup PITA...
Gary Andrew Feb 16, 2009 10:56 PM (in response to fuaho)Oh but wait all this hassle is worth it - Adobe is going to make the forums so much better as a result of great user demand GIVE ME A BREAK - leave the forums alone - we've been down this road before and besides these forums are some of the most visually pleasing I've ever seen. Spend the effort getting out bug fixes. -
15. Re: Security information popup PITA...
JSS1138 Feb 17, 2009 7:06 AM (in response to fuaho)I agree, Gary. There's really not much that can be done to improve these forums. -
16. Re: Security information popup PITA...
Bill Hunt Feb 17, 2009 7:42 AM (in response to fuaho)I am with both of you. From all other fora that I spend time on, I only had two things that would be nice to add - but could easily live without them.
Heck, I still have DT's from having to miss my Adobe fora for two whole days, over the weekend! Had to go drink a bunch of wine, so I would have something to talk about on Chowhound's board...
Please Adobe, do it right. Remember the previous change. Learn from that one.

joshtownsend Feb 17, 2009 9:35 AM (in response to fuaho)Stanly the points system should be interesting. I wonder if the OP can give someone a negative because they didn't like what they heard in the reply. Like when you tell them that they need to give more info than 'it crashes'.
If so me and Harm would be in the negative so quick. -
19. Re: Security information popup PITA...
joshtownsend Feb 17, 2009 9:42 AM (in response to fuaho)The more I think about they have some good ideas. The forum looks and works(functionality) great. The biggest problem is Adobe employees avoid the Premiere forum like the plague except to announce an update. I got a great answer about AE using one core to render some effects that was elaborated by Todd K. In like a day. And Todd (the Adobe guy even pointed me to a link in the help I overlooked or they added).
This forum is like the Wild West. Some of the changes seem to make it so Adobe people will have to keep up the forums less.
But I agree they need to be working on getting the patches done instead of screwing with these forums. -

JSS1138 Feb 17, 2009 9:49 AM (in response to fuaho)>I found post 14 interesting.
I find it dismaying. It sounds like Adobe is trying to be too much like other forums, which are not nearly as good as this one. -
21. Re: Security information popup PITA...
Stan Jones Feb 17, 2009 10:36 AM (in response to fuaho)Well, yes, all of the above. The part I should have pointed to was John's history regarding the forum and the new round of changes. I don't think it makes a case for or against change, but was just, well, "interesting."
Todd is the After Effects documentation lead, and is a model of what you would like to see for each of the adobe products. But helping users with AE is a lot different than helping with PPro. Helping with PPro is hugely hardware/basic functionality - which, as we see with many posts here - quickly a tech support issue; not as much help with how to use the functionality. -
22. Re: Security information popup PITA...
shooternz Feb 17, 2009 11:30 AM (in response to fuaho)>COMING SOON! Were updating Adobe Forums with some new features to create a better experience for everyone.
Should be worth waiting for. (Thats what they said about CS4 as well.)
I am going to put in a feature request for a "lesser experience".
(You guys can be Beta testers) -
23. Re: Security information popup PITA...
Bill Hunt Feb 17, 2009 8:45 PM (in response to fuaho)Craig,
Let's turn that frown into a smile. You can do it!
Now, I am still "waiting" on CS4, but look on the bright side - Jim installed and is using CS4. Remember when he moved to Vista? It will not be long, before Harm goes to Vista, as well.
Let us just hope that Adobe learned from the previous forum change. Let us hope...

Jeff Bellune Feb 17, 2009 9:02 PM (in response to fuaho)> It will not be long, before Harm goes to Vista, as well.
Let's see, Harm and Vista in the same sentence, joined by the words "goes to".
It boggles the mind. Where's Arthur C. Clarke when you need him? -

Phil Griffith Feb 18, 2009 2:09 PM (in response to fuaho)Open the vista pod doors, adobe.
open the vista pod doors, adobe.
or is it the other way around? -
