1. Re: Where is my "Deinterlace" in the Output of Export Settings ?
joshtownsend Nov 15, 2008 7:42 AM (in response to juskocf)They didn't make those video's with the version they released. Probably one of those 'will make it into an update' to add to the list. -

juskocf Nov 15, 2008 8:26 AM (in response to juskocf)Hi, josh, that means you don't have the "Deinterlace" option in your CS4 also ?

3. Re: Where is my "Deinterlace" in the Output of Export Settings ?
JSS1138 Nov 15, 2008 9:07 AM (in response to juskocf)Premiere sucks at deinterlacing. You're better off not having that option. Use an external program like VirtualDub for such things. -

(tlc51369) Nov 15, 2008 9:29 AM (in response to juskocf)I read that if you pick a progressive preset that it deinterlaces automatically. I don't know for sure because I never tried it. Can someone confirm? -
5. Re: Where is my "Deinterlace" in the Output of Export Settings ?
JSS1138 Nov 15, 2008 11:14 AM (in response to juskocf)I guess I'd kind of expect it to 'deinterlce' using a progressive preset, at least if you try putting interlaced material into it. Which you probably should not do in the first place. -
6. Re: Where is my "Deinterlace" in the Output of Export Settings ?
juskocf Nov 15, 2008 5:57 PM (in response to juskocf)Thanks Jim and tlc51369.
Yes, I always find the progressive output video not as smooth as the original one, no matter what format, codec or quality, player to play etc.
But I just want to know whether my Premiere has got something wrong and needs re-installation. So, the same old question, does your copy of CS4 Premiere pro show the "Deinterlace" option please ?
Best Regards -

9. Re: Where is my "Deinterlace" in the Output of Export Settings ?
joshtownsend Nov 16, 2008 6:13 AM (in response to juskocf)You can right click the clips and pick 'fields options' and you can choose to de-interlace (of course you have to do it once for each clip). -
