1. Re: Is there a way to display the actual time footage was shot?
fuaho Jan 4, 2009 3:53 PM (in response to skeeze)There is a somewhat tedious workaround that will help (perhaps, since I don't know what your footage is).
Load in all the clips you plan to use in your edit. Select them one at a time and click File\Timecode and type in your "time of day" clock timecode and Set at Beginning. Click OK.
This will then change the Media Start from 00:00:00:00 for every clip to whatever you type in.
If anyone finds, or knows of, a way to do this automatically, I'd be very interested to hear about it!

Harm Millaard Jan 4, 2009 4:25 PM (in response to skeeze)Depends on your footage. If you have DV material, use Scenalyzer to capture. It can automatically add that to the file name. If you have HDV material, use HDVSplit to add those to your filenames. -

fuaho Jan 4, 2009 5:56 PM (in response to skeeze)You may already have software that came with your camera that will permit you to access this data. I use Canon software that allows me to extract the data for as many avi files at a time as I want. I then enter it manually in Premiere, as described.
I misread your post and thought you already had this info at hand. My original response will be useful after you've accessed that timestamp info!
