Yes. See the "Shortcuts for panels, viewers, workspaces, and windows" section of After Effects CS3 Help on the Web. -
2. Re: Precomp and some shortcut keys questions
juskocf May 20, 2008 7:39 AM (in response to juskocf)Thank you Todd for your reply. I have read the Help Section you referred to but didn't find my answer.
For example, when the project panel is activated and the effect control panel is underneath it, I want to press a shortcut key to bring the control panel to the front (activated).

3. Re: Precomp and some shortcut keys questions
Todd_Kopriva May 20, 2008 9:25 AM (in response to juskocf)See the last row of the table that I linked to for this shortcut:
Cycle to previous or next panel in active frame
Alt+Shift+, (comma) or Alt+Shift+. (period)
This will bring the Effect Controls panel forward if it's behind the Project panel. -

Hi, Ocean, yes F3 is very useful for me too.
Thanks Todd and Ocean for your answers.
Is there a way to break up the Precomp layer to the original layers ? Sometimes, I want to re-adjust the parameters of a particular layer.

6. Re: Precomp and some shortcut keys questions
A. Cobb May 20, 2008 6:11 PM (in response to juskocf)jusko, a "precomp" is just a nested comp. You can option/alt-double-click the comp layer to edit the comp that is its source. If that doesn't help you, and you actually want to "un-precompose" a layer in the nested comp, the only way to do so is to use methods like cut-and-paste. -

So, it seems cut-and-paste is the only way.
And Aaron, I fogot one question, could you please tell me the shortcut key for putting the preview in the Composition panel to "Fit" ? I know the "," and "." are to zoom in and out, but don't how to "Fit".

Searching Help on the Web is your friend.
I searched for this:
shortcut fit
I found this:
Zoom to fit in Composition, Layer, or Footage panel
Shift+/ (on main keyboard)
( "Shortcuts for using and modifying views") -

I did search the Help of AE but I must admit that I missed all these shortcuts.
