Are you in fact pointing the DNG Converter application to a folder that contains raw files?
Are you sure you downloaded the latest version of the DNG Converter, either 5.2 or 5.3 beta Release candidate? The DNG Converter is a stand-alone application and does not need Photoshop to run at all, so the version number does not need to match the ACR version, which in your case should be ACR 3.7.

Robert, the above statement is a bit confusing. When you are converting your raw files with the DNG converter, then CS2 plays no role.
1. Have you converted the CR2 files in DNG?
2. What did you try to open in CS2?
Hi there - having same problems and can't seem to find a solution. I've downloaded the DNG converter (5.2) to convert my cs2 files taken with a EOS 1000D camera into dng files. No matter what I do, I constantly get the "Error parsing the file" messages.
I've even tried different versions of the DNG converter - I've tried moving the cs2 file into different folders (not that I thought that would make a difference) but to no avail !
Please - any help would be appreciated ! Not sure why Canon distribute a DNG converter with the camera that doesn't work in the first place ...
Help please !
please click on About DNG Converter and post the version number.
Hi ... got it working ! Thanks for offering to help, appreciate it !
