We are trying to use MercuryInteractive's Quick Test
Professional 9.1 to test against Flex 2.0.1 apps.
We are using the trial version of QTP 9.1.
We installed the QTP Flex plug-in from adobe. This allows us
to do automated testing of Flex 2.0.1 apps.
When we just installed QTP without the QTP-Flex Plug-in we
were able to record clicks against activeX controls. The recording
would consists of clicks and their coordinates.
After we installed the QTP-Flex Plug-in, we were able to
record against the Flex 2.0.1 app and QTP responded by recording
actions against specific control within the Flex app. This is what
we expected.
However, when we try to record against an activeX control,
say a non-Flex 2.0.1 Flash Player ActiveX control, QTP records
nothing.
It seems as if the install of the Plug-in changes ActiveX
recognition in some way.
Any suggestions?
