1. Re: MPEG encoder
_durin_ Sep 29, 2008 8:21 AM (in response to 2drumstix)Soundbooth does have full MPEG support for most mpeg, mpeg-2, and mpeg-4 formats, but they are not available in the 30-day trial due to the licensing restrictions around those codecs. Once Soundbooth is activated with a valid serial number, the extra codecs will be installed and available.

2drumstix Sep 29, 2008 10:08 AM (in response to 2drumstix)My copy has a serial number, as part of my Production Premium suite I just installed. Maybe I need to double check SB is active, but I thought with an Adobe suite on the first launch of any one program the activation screen activates your whole suite. -
3. Re: MPEG encoder
_durin_ Sep 29, 2008 10:25 AM (in response to 2drumstix)Ah. I gotcha. Try using File > Save As... in the dialog, you can select MPEG or whatever file format you want to convert to. the next dialog should offer you any additional codec-specific parameters.
The File > Export menu deals mostly with non-audio specific data for other applications, for example markers in Flash cue point XML format.

2drumstix Sep 29, 2008 10:28 AM (in response to 2drumstix)Hmm, I see, I will try "save as" and hope I see the parameters. -
5. Re: MPEG encoder
2drumstix Sep 30, 2008 3:08 PM (in response to 2drumstix)I should have been a little more detailed in my original post.
Audition has an MP3 encoder by MP3PRO, Soundbooth seems to be lacking this encoder, even after using "save as".
Does anyone know for sure, SB does not have this encoder? Or is there a way to plug MP3PRO into SB?
I will do some more reading, but Audition and SB seem very different. Audition is a multi track recording and mixing sequencer much like Sonar, SB is not.
thanks
