    Can Soundbooth Scores be edited?

Can the Adobe scores be broken down into individual parts (drums, synth, etc.) and looped/edited?

OT: When purchasing CS4 Master Collection, are both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions included on the same installation disks? I'm having a 64-bit machine built, and the guy is warning me I need the 64-bit version of CS4. I've got CS4 running on XP now. I don't remember being given a choice at purchase time.

      Any and all help appreciated!

          Hi Tim,

Soundbooth Scores consist of mostly mixed-down loops - with variations for the different intensity settings and additional tracks for the modifier parameters. While you probably can't pull out JUST the drum track or JUST a particular synth track, you might be able to find what you want by looking in the "Assets" folders in the location you're scores are installed. You can also construct your own Scores using the Soundbooth Score Toolkit available for free at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/soundbooth/ I will warn that while it's much easier than it was in CS3, there is still a bit of a learning curve for score creation.

As for your new system, Adobe doesn't currently offer 64-bit editions of the Suites or most applications. The 32-bit versions of the CS4 software will work just fine on your 64-bit system, however.

Ok, thanks for the info, Durin. I will look for the assets and see.

On the 64-bit apps, I was thinking at least After Effects and Premiere were 64-bit, to allow for background rendering, etc. Maybe not. Seems like I heard that in the CS4 roll-out video.

            Thanks again,
            Tim
