1. Re: Safe to use acrobat.com?
mcacbat Apr 9, 2009 12:41 PM (in response to Ief_DR)Hello,
Thank you for your post. In regards to the first part of your question, I'm going to quote the Acrobat.com FAQ:
Acrobat.com employs some of the latest technology available for Internet security. When you access our services, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology protects your information using both server authentication and data encryption, helping to ensure that your data and documents are protected, and available only to you and users authorized by you. In addition, we provide application level features that let you control the accessibility of your content.
In regards to the question of whether or not your uploaded PDFs will be scrambled, we haven't had any reports of this occuring. Occasionally, when creating a PDF from another type of document using the free Create PDF service, the end result is not perfect. However, if you're not changing the format at all there should be no reason to expect scrambing. Of course, users should always check their documents before sending, but this certainly applies to whatever method you're using to send or share a document. I can state with confidence that we've had many thousands of business clients that have successfully used Acrobat.com to share and collaborate on business documents.
Hope this helps! Thank you for considering Acrobat.com.
Kind Regards,
Michelle
