Sigurdur Armannsson Apr 20, 2009 5:49 PM (in response to on5lb)There are several ways to cut up objects. In many cases the Window>Pathfinder panel will be able to do the job. I find however that the Knife tool is much overlooked. It can slice an object in half or in an irregular way.
To use it you have to find it in the tools panel. Not sure anymore where it was in CS2. Probably close to the scissor.
Not two things:
First, the object must be selected.
Secondly to get a straight cut, hold down the Option/Alt key.

on5lb Apr 21, 2009 1:30 AM (in response to Sigurdur Armannsson)Hello Sugurdur,
Many thanks for your reply.
I have CS3 as well, but it's installed on an other computer where i made the
mistake to use Vista Ultimate 64 bitts
Always problems...Decide to close several times...
Using CS3 for instance, drawing one rectangle, and want to adjust the
dimensions x : y, changing one dimension and the other modified by it self
?
Which means, i'm not able to adjust according to "my" whishes !
This is probably due to wrong configuration i made, no ?
I think i will install simple Windows XP SP2 (SP3?) waiting until Windows 7
will be reliablr (?).
By the way, can i send you i flash, or zip object via this mail ?
I want you to shaw what i 'm trying (humm..) to remake (i did 6-7 years ago
!).
I stopped using applications because of business duties since that time.
Please let me know,
Best regards,
Jean
