I upgraded from CS3 to CS4. I have a NTSC DV project. To export the project to DV AVI, I used to in CS3 select Export Movie. In CS4, it seems that I need to go through Adobe Media Encoder and select Format=Microsoft AVI, Preset=NTSC DV. In CS3 there used to be "Recompress" video setting that if unchecked ensured that unmodified frames were not re-encoded if the source format was the same as the target format. What happend to this setting in CS4 media encoder? Does it automatically not re-encode unmodified DV frames?
I have no idea either, but I'd be very interested to know!
Does it automatically not re-encode unmodified DV frames?
Good question, I sure hope so. And what about HDV frames?
