Adobe After Effects CS4 Rendering Problem?

Adobe After Effects CS4, Im currently edditing some clips and now that im done with one i would like to render it.

However when i press ''Render'' a messge comes up saying the following: ''You must have at least one render item queued in order to Render''

Please help i don't understand why im getting this error.

Make sure that you have the check box to the left of the comp checked.

Also make sure that you check the render settings. If you inadvertently set the work area in and out points to zero then you won't have anything to render.

     Well heres more information* First i opened AE then i went to ''New Composition''>Imported Video Clip>Added some effects to it>Then Clicked ''Add Render Cue'' Then once i clicked ''Render'' That messege apeared can you help me now please?
