1. Re: Math support like in Framemaker
[Jongware] Apr 29, 2009 2:00 PM (in response to pratam)I never even knew FrameMaker had a Math option.
The help page http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FrameMaker/9.0/Using/WS7464188F-A5C2-4eca-A952-43ADB7F80401.ht ml nicely sums up the possibilities. It even beats MathType, having an 'Evaluate' function
You can also evaluate equations by substituting values and performing computations.
Yes, we (InDesign "we") want this too!

pratam Apr 30, 2009 4:04 AM (in response to [Jongware])Thanks Jongware for the support, hope everyone will support like you.
ADOBE,
Pl. include this feature in InDesign too.

3. Re: Math support like in Framemaker
Alpha+LS Jun 9, 2009 4:19 PM (in response to pratam)I type a lot of Math worksheets and tests. I will happily send you sample pages and test-run anything that lets me stop embedding text frames inside text frames just to type algebraic fractions like this:
a^2 + 2ab + b^2
a + b
or simple fractions like this:
187
23
Right now, that would be set inside a frame and then put inline "f(x) = ..." The paragraph has to be manually leaded to keep the denominator from overtyping the next line of the paragraph.
No, I don't want to use some other program and import it. I want to be able to do it in InDesign. Then I only have to get purchase approvals on one program.
THANKS!!!
