1. Re: What happened to multiple camera support in OnLocation CS4?
Mark Mapes May 6, 2009 4:06 PM (in response to rmshro0)You're not going crazy. The camera switching feature had a bug that could cause the app to crash. Because we were unable to fix the crash within the time alloted for our patch, we opted to disable the feature.
Sorry for taking away a feature that you used. I'll enter a vote on your behalf to remedy this for the next release.

rmshro0 May 6, 2009 5:49 PM (in response to Mark Mapes)Mark,
Thanks for the feedback. Any timeline on that release?
Also, if I wanted that feature, would an uninstall of OnLocation and reinstall allow me access to it with the potential for crashing?

3. Re: What happened to multiple camera support in OnLocation CS4?
Mark Mapes May 6, 2009 6:00 PM (in response to rmshro0)Yes, uninstalling 4.0.1 or 4.0.2 and rolling back to 4.0.0 should get you this feature back. However, I would strongly urge you not to do so. The patches fixed quite a few crasher bugs, so you'd be taking a big step backward in stability in return for that feature.
If the ability to switch cameras is essential to your workflow--and if you own CS3--I'd recommend that you use CS3 for your switching needs rather than running 4.0.

4. Re: What happened to multiple camera support in OnLocation CS4?
rmshro0 May 6, 2009 9:12 PM (in response to Mark Mapes)I actually don't own CS3 - CS4 was my first Adobe purchase like this. Can I still find the 30 day demo of CS3? Would that last long enough for the feature update to return?

5. Re: What happened to multiple camera support in OnLocation CS4?
Mark Mapes May 6, 2009 10:50 PM (in response to rmshro0)If camera switching is added, it will be in the next major release, which has not yet been announced.
A trial version of OnLocation CS3 is no longer available from Adobe.

rmshro0 May 7, 2009 8:25 AM (in response to Mark Mapes)Okay, one final clarification and I'll stop bothering you.
By "major release" do you mean CS5? Or simple an update like 4.0.3 to the current CS4 version?

7. Re: What happened to multiple camera support in OnLocation CS4?
Mark Mapes May 11, 2009 10:27 AM (in response to rmshro0)CS5 (and please don't ask why I didn't just say that to begin with, 'cuz I don't have a good answer.)
