John Joslin May 9, 2009 10:31 PM (in response to mikeobe)Try resetting your preferences as described in the FAQ.
http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.ef4a07f/1
You either have to physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift method, be sure that you get a confirmation dialog.
This resets all settings in Photoshop to factory defaults.
A complete uninstall/re-install will not affect the preferences and a corrupt file there may be causing the problem.

Mylenium May 10, 2009 5:17 AM (in response to mikeobe)Did it ever even launch? If it never started to begin with, the prefs should not be affected and it's most likely a more generic issue. Therefore please provide info about your hardware (processor, graphics card) and operating system.

For Bridge hold down the Ctrl key as you double-click the icon and hold it down till you get a reset dialog.
Lightroom have their own forum.

mikeobe May 10, 2009 6:58 AM (in response to John Joslin)Thanks, the reset dialog came up but Bridge still did not open, I'm going to reboot and see if that works? I have ESET Anti Virus, wonder if that could be causing a problem? I've seen in here where that has contributed to peoples' problems? I'll let you know how the reboot goes! Thanks again!

If you do, make sure to run the Adobe Clean script after the un-install.
