2. Re: Can i remove the (center of gravity)
Jacob Bugge May 11, 2009 5:20 AM (in response to on5lb)Jean,
A simple way to have each hand moving correctly is to:
1. Create a no stroke, no fill, circle that has the axis as centre and extends at least as far as the tip of arm;
2. Group the arm and the circle.
This once and for all solution is suitable for repeated rotation at any time, without worries about exact centring.

JETalmage May 10, 2009 3:46 PM (in response to on5lb)You can set the center of transformation wherever you want by selecting the object and then clicking with any of the transformation tools (Rotate, Scale, Reflect, Shear) where you want the COT to be. Then perform the transformation.

Steve Fairbairn May 10, 2009 5:19 PM (in response to on5lb)Sounds like what you want is ruler guides snapped to the centre of the clock face.
Once you've got those it's no problem positioning the hands straight and then rotating them around the place where the guides cross.

on5lb May 11, 2009 1:59 AM (in response to on5lb)Hi all of you,
Thanks for your several options, but i will check them and let you know if i succeed !
I hope (as a french speaking person) my question is clear for every one ?
In fact, when you create an object, it has a center point.
But to be able to rotate a hand on a analogical clock, you must be able to move the center point at the bottom of the hand.
I remember some years ago, (don't remember what aplication it was) but i simply clicked the certer point of the object (hand) and drag it wherever i wanted !
OK, i let you know when it's done.
Thanks so far,
Jean

frax_-L75d7K May 11, 2009 2:53 AM (in response to on5lb)on5lb - just read up on the rotate tool, and how you can set the rotation point before doing the rotation, this is a simple operation in illustrator!
