Converting TIF to PDF, wrong resolution

Avatar

I have a TIF document, 1000px x 1000px (width x height) with vertical resolution 100dpi and horizontal resolution 200dpi, but after converting to PDF using Livecycle, the whole image squeezed vertically,  just like a 1000px x 500px image, but it has no such problem when I convert that TIF directly using Acrobat 8.0.

Any users also have this problem? Any solutions or workaround for this? Thanks!

PDFG service configuration page has a setting called "Use Acrobat for Image conversion". Set this to "true" so that all image conversion requests in PDFG will use Acrobat behind the scene.  From services view in Adminui, search for pdfg generation service to access that configuration page.

Hi Statke, thanks for your answer, i am using LC 8.0.1 SP3 and cannot find this option in AdminUI, is that a new feature on 8.2?

Most likely this feature was added on 8.0.1 SP3 as part of a private patch. However, it's also added in 8.2.1.

So, upgrading to 8.2.1 would be a recommended option.. For the private patch, you may want to contact enterprise support as it could be based on your M&S.

Thanks Statke! Now I have a pretty good reason for upgrading LC to 8.2
