However, if you open the images through Bridge, they will be opened by Photoshop in the order you want.

Ramón G Castañeda May 16, 2009 6:10 PM (in response to soom1976)It's Apple's fault. Photoshop opens files in the order that they are received. The Finder is unpredictable when it comes to handing out files.
That's why Adobe gave you Bridge. If you don't like using Bridge, complain to Apple, not here.

But actually I should complain - Photoshop should have an option to sort Items, while rearranging them. I could have opened multiple files from different sources, or open files not at the same time, and still would have a need for sorting them alphabetically. But it is not my question here, so I'll repost it in feaure request.
