Hello!

If I have an aggregator project how can I hide the TOC there??

If I hide the TOC in the master project it will make its own ...

If I set the TOC to 'overlay' in the master project it will make it static (and pushs the content from the display...) ...

However, can I have an aggregator project without any TOC??

Regards

Markus

Hi there

This would appear to be some functionality the Adobe Captivate development team didn't anticipate users would want. Unless someone posts with a clever workaround, I'm going to say it's currently not possible to achieve.

You (and others) should definitely request this as a feature so the next release may offer more flexibility.

Hi Rick!

Thank you for your fast response!

Well, currently I am in contact with the support team with 4 open cases...

...new installation of Cap4...

...new installation of the whole system...

...local administrator account...

...update of Quicktime and Active X...

...and much more time-consuming tasks but nothing will help me...

...at the moment I am really disappointed!

Problem:

I get the error "not enough ram" if I try to export a big project with 100MB and about 300 slides.

But my system has 3GB RAM and huge space on the hard disc.

Workaround 1: Aggregator

Three swf-files, full screen.

But the static TOC sweeps 30% of my learning content from the screen...

Workaround 2: Three stand alone files

Three exe-files, full screen

I cannot link them. I tried "open URL or file" but Cap4 tries to open the .exe in an internet browser not as a file.

I tried absolute paths and relative paths.

Any idea??

Regards

Markus

Hi there

What happens if you try using the "Open other project" option?

I know there are issues with this option in Captivate 4 where it likes to use an absolute path. But that *MAY* only appy to the SWF/HTM file pair. So it may be worth trying to see.

Indeed 300 slides is way too big for a single Captivate project.

Cheers... Rick

Hi!

You can use .cp-, .swf- and.rp-files in the "open other project" function only.

You cannot choose the .exe-files there. If you type in the path, name and extension Cap4 changes it to an other project while you do the export.

I cannot use the swf-type because I need a full-screen and the adjustment of the size is a problem in the swf.
