Hi

I was wondering if it is recommended to include the same terms and definitions used in context sensitive help and in the glossary or should I keep them seperate?  Also, when I printed the glossary in RoboHelp verison 8 for HTML, I only got the terms and not the related definitions?

Thanks for advice

About the glossary content issue - normally, a glossary is not used for the same objects as context-sensitive help (fields, controls, windows, etc.). Glossaries mostly contain concept terms, technical words the user may not be familiar with, and especially words which are shortened references to something else (acronyms, abbreviations, and shortened product names).

However, glossary and context-sensitive help (CSH) topics aren't mutually exclusive.

Imagine a checkbook program. There might be a CSH topic for the Debit/Credit column that tells the user what to enter in the column. The glossary might have entries for "Debit" and "Credit" that define those terms, but not a "Debit/Credit column" entry.

And, of course, in the Debit/Credit column CSH topic, you could have glossary hotspots on the words "debit" and "credit" so the user can see the glossary definitions.

In the end, it's your editorial decision. ("Will you use this power for good...or EVIL? BWAHAHAAA!!!!)
