Navigating between SCO's in cp4

Hi guys - can anyone help?

I'm having a look at cp4, looking to potentially upgrade, but have come up with a query. In cp3, if I build mulitiple SCO's I navigate between them either through the final interaction in a SCO or through the menu. It appears that the new TOC doesn't permit selection of navigation options so am I limited to interaction based "Open URL or file"? Seems something of a backward step if thats the case.......

Hi there

Please note that there are lots of places where you might use the "Open URL or File".

  • Click Box
  • Button
  • Text Entry Box
  • Question Slide
  • Quiz Properties
  • Project Start and End

Which are you referring to?

Cheers... Rick

Hi Rick

Aware of those, exactly the same as cp3, but I've been using this functionality within the menu to provide as seamless a navigation as possible to move back and forth between different SCO's; has this functionality now been removed? If so it appears to be a big step backward.

TIA

Hi again

Ahhh, okay. You want to do it via the menu.

Still possible but you have to think differently now. What you do now is to configure a slide with an on Enter event triggering the URL. Then you have that slide in the Menu where it is linked to.

Cheers... Rick
