Hello Anat,

My personal recommendation would be to record your voice over in a separate audio program and import it into Adobe Captivate. Whilst Captivate does have some audio editing features these are not as comprehensive as the ones you will see in an audio editing app.

Hello Anat,

My personal recommendation would be to record your voice over in a separate audio program and import it into Adobe Captivate. Whilst Captivate does have some audio editing features these are not as comprehensive as the ones you will see in an audio editing app.

If you are looking for a free audio recorder and editor then I would suggest

<a href="http://audacity.sourceforge.net/"><strong>Audacity</strong></a>

Or if you have monies available then Adobe SoundBooth is a great commerical option:

<a href="http://www.adobe.com/products/soundbooth/"><strong>Adobe SoundBooth</strong></a>

Again this is only a personal preference but, I would also recommend that you script out what you want to say before you start recording, invariably this can prevent any umms and ahhs that you might accidentally include in your voice-over. 🙂

Best - Mark

Just another tip for recording any narrative is to read it out aloud so that any difficult or unpronounceable word combinations can be identified and the script re-writen.

Hope this is of some help
