Is there a way to search for whole words in RH8?

The results we are getting include individual letters and groupings of letters, besides the word (if in file), which results in multiple files listed in the results that doesn't include the word we are looking for, making the hit list much longer than it needs to be. We've tried quotes and separating word with and to no avail.

There's a check box in the layout to enable search strings. Have you tried generating with that deselected?

I'm sorry, this should be RH7 and I don't see such an option in the webhelp layout box.

It was an option introduced in RoboHelp 8, which is what I thought you were using. Not sure what is causing the problem in your case.
