PE6-I restored my backup but now don't see photos/slideshows etc.

I use windows xp and I backed up one of my catalogues then deleted it from my computer.  I then restored it and was working on a slideshow just fine, THEN, when I later went in to work some more, my catalogue is empty!!!???  How do I get the photos and slideshow back.   What happened???  I think the pics and everything are still in my computer, but I don't know why they are not in my catalogue.

HELP I have to finish this slide show....

      Thank you!

I can't imagine why you would make a backup and then delete the original; nor does this count as a "backup" in any meaningful sense.

Could you please state how you restored the catalog? Do you mean you restored the catalog file; or do you mean you restored the catalog and all photos? Still don't understand why you did this.

Don't you hate it when that happens?

Perhaps you opened a different (default?) catalog? Since you restored the catalog, you must know where the catalog file now resides. What happens if you look for this restored catalog file in Windows? Is it there? What happens if you double-click on it?

Also try verifying that you have relevant media types checked in view options. Go to View> Media types and ensure that all options are checked.
