1. Re: 4.0.3 update...
Colin Brougham Jun 17, 2009 7:02 AM (in response to Eric Addison)Update worked for me on both of my systems; found it and installed it. Any ideas what this is supposed to fix/add?

2. Re: 4.0.3 update...
Eric Addison Jun 17, 2009 8:11 AM (in response to Colin Brougham)I still can't see it on my laptop...ugh! I've tried using the update feature in all the Adobe apps, and it still says no updates found.
I seem to recall reading that it fixes something to do with Quicktime files and timecode.

3. Re: 4.0.3 update...
Colin Brougham Jun 17, 2009 8:24 AM (in response to Eric Addison)Don't know if you're on Vista or not (or Windows, for that matter!), but you might try purging the log and data files in the Updater folder. On Vista, it's found at C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Adobe\Updater6. Try moving the log files and other stuff out of that folder into a temporary location and then running Updater. It might *jog* its memory...
Timcode issues, huh? Interesting. I posted about timecode issues from 720/24p recordings last week. I wonder if this is the fix, albeit a few days too late because I already had to shoot!

4. Re: 4.0.3 update...
Eric Addison Jun 17, 2009 8:38 AM (in response to Colin Brougham)Thanks for the tip, Colin. I am on Vista, and tried what you said...still nothing. UGH! I just may have to wait until there is a downloadable version...can anyone from Adobe say when that will be?

6. Re: 4.0.3 update...
Eric Addison Jun 17, 2009 8:59 AM (in response to Colin Brougham)I do...I even went in and de-selected everything else, and just tried OL - nothing. It's odd because I've never had a problem with updater before...it's always seen the files right away...

7. Re: 4.0.3 update...
Eric Addison Jun 22, 2009 12:31 PM (in response to Eric Addison)Okay...I still can't get it to update, and a downloadable update still isn't available...anyone from the OL team that can lend some advice?

8. Re: 4.0.3 update...
Edith Cortese Jun 22, 2009 2:40 PM (in response to Eric Addison)Hey, is this Eric Addison from San Diego? This is Nicole Ghastin, I worked with you about 10 years ago as an actress. Trying to learn on Location with my producing buddy here. Do you have any suggestions on where to start? We don't know anything and we don't know how to get started without a manual or what not? Help.
thanks,
Nicole (and Edie)

Eric Addison Jun 22, 2009 3:56 PM (in response to Edith Cortese)Wow...talk about a small world. Yes, Nicole - I am the same Eric Addison...what an odd place to re-connect.
Feel free to email me (eaddison@hotmail.com) and I'll give you my number - I'm happy to help you get going.
I'm on a shoot right now, actually using OnLocation, so I may not be able to get back to you until tonight or tomorrow...
Good to hear from you!

11. Re: 4.0.3 update...
h82loze Jul 29, 2009 12:59 PM (in response to Eric Addison)Don't know why they don't have this posted on their site, but I grabbed this before the updater deleted from my computer when I updated to 4.0.3.
Hope this helps.

12. Re: 4.0.3 update...
Mark Mapes Jul 30, 2009 11:01 AM (in response to h82loze)I got a ball rolling on this as soon as this thread brought it to my attention. Word is we're one step away from 4.0.3 being added to the pages. Sorry, I don't have a conversion table that goes from steps to days.
