How do you publish your table of contents with the TOC books automatically expanded when you publish?

I have a need to publish my table of contents with the books expanded by default.  Is this possible?  If it is, how do I do this and will I be able to collapse the folders once published as a preference?

See before & after images of what I am referencing for more details.

Thanks!

Hi there

I think the only way to do that is by generating a Section 508 enabled WebHelp output. As most folks are creating DHTML output, there simply isn't a way to make it happen.Especially if the output is a CHM.

Well, I'd be lying if I said there's just no way. One method would involve having a single Book in the TOC. Then configuring the TOC to auto-synchronize. Then configure a topic inside the book to be the default topic.

Cheers... Rick
