Is there a way to delete/remove projects from the Recent Projects section?

Have you tried Right-Clicking?

Personally I never use the Starter. Instead, I simply avoid that layer and open the desired application directly.

Yes, but that doesn't work.  You know what...In tinkering with the menu options, I've discovered there is a way to do it on from the Tools menu.  I guess I've answered my own question!   My apologies for the false alarm.

Tools > Options > General Tab >Most Recently Used Project (section) > Delete button
