I do it by having two subscriptions to the forum using two different Adobe accounts. This means, of course, that I get two notifications of every post except my own. So, I set up rules that divert posts to a user defined folder, such that for the one account they all get diverted (filtered by both From: and Subject:, with its a unique forum prefix), but for the other only those which are From: me. Those which aren't From: me get deleted.
The rules look like this in Windows Live Mail. It may be a bit different in other clients, but you get the idea:
Where the From line contains [forums@adobe.com] and where the Subject line contains [Indesign] and where it is from the [primary account] Move it to the Indesign folder and Stop processing more rules Where the From line contains [forums@adobe.com] and [my display name] and where the Subject line contains [Indesign] and where it is from the [secondary account] Move it to the Indesign folder and Stop processing more rules Where the From line contains [forums@adobe.com] and where the Subject line contains [Indesign] and where it is from the [secondary account] Delete it and Stop processing more rules
If they're applied in this order, it works. My client (Windows Live Mail) helpfully ensures that if I select Reply the From: address is the right one - the forum rejects replies from a different address, which might explain why some people have had trouble replying via email.
