As of CS4, it actually got easier. You want Track Targeting. Before, one had a bit more clicking to do, to isolate a Track. Then, the Lock feature (for the others) came in handy.
OK, I just looked up Track Targeting. I don't get how to click on something to 'untarget' all tracks. or target just one.
Also, it says you can use keystrokes to do this, but I don't see anything in the keyboard customisations for that.
Finally, is there any 'Search' function in the keyboard customisations?
I'd just hit C and use the Razor tool.
I did read that. I don't get how to either:
a. de-select all tracks in one go and/or
b. select only one track in one go
Don't see any keystrokes for either function. Maybe I'm blind/ADHD/drunk?
Wish there was a Search function in keyboard customisations.
Then go to Sequence/Toggle All Target Video Off
Then click the shortcut space (if there is not already something there) and type in a KB shortcut. I use Ctrl+Alt+F.
Do the same thing for Toggle All Target Audio Off, and you can do toggle all on, toggle individual tracks on/off, and any other combinations you see there.
We have a wiener.
