    Using Distiller to save files

    on5lb Community Member

      Hello,

I still use Acrobat 8 professional, and remember in the past...the distiller application was automaticaly addedd to the printers !

I would like to know if it's still posible to transfer "any" compatible file and save it into Distiller ?

If the answer is Yes: Please let me know how to proceed.

      Thanks in advance,

      Regards,

      Jean

You apparently are talking about AA5 or earlier. The AD printer had been replaced by the Adobe PDF printer (basically a name change with updates to the driver). Thus simply print to the Adobe PDF printer and it will do the same thing in the past. The Acrobat Distiller printer had the name changed because of the same confusion you have. It was a print driver that created an input for Distiller, it was not Distiller.
