1. Re: Can't get pressure sensitivity with Brushes in CS4(using wacom tablet)
Ricky-T Jul 27, 2009 4:20 PM (in response to Matthew A Kraus)The exclimation mark means that photoshop thinks that your tablet is not capible of preforming the task that it lists there (so pressure sensitivity in this case), which of course it should be. What model of Wacom Tablet do you have? Intuos? Cintqu?, or another type? If your sure that you have the same options set up as in cs3, and you have reinstalled photoshop and you are still with the problem, there could be a few things that could possibly now affect this. Do you have Open GL enabled in your photoshop preferences? (Edit > Preferences > Preformance > Enable Open GL). Make sure your graphics card drivers are also upto date just in case. With your graphics tablet, you could also try completly removing it and uninstalling it from your computer, and then installing it all over again, instead of just updating the drivers. Finally, make sure the tablet works perfectly and there is no chance of a hardwear issue. There shouldn't be because it works with cs3, just not cs4, meaning it should be cs4's fault somewhere down the line in theory.

2. Re: Can't get pressure sensitivity with Brushes in CS4(using wacom tablet)
Matthew A Kraus Jul 27, 2009 9:01 PM (in response to Ricky-T)Thanks for the detailed reply. To answer your questions: I have a wacom
Intuos 3 Graphic Tablet, model PTZ-630. I am as sure as I can be that the
options that are selected in my brush palatte in CS3 & CS4 are the same.
Enable Open GL is unchecked in my PS preferences. I just installed the
newest graphic card driver and I did actually remove wacom from add remove
programs and reinstall it all over again, I didn't just update the drivers.
And the tablet does work just fine in CS3, so I don't think it's a hardware
problem. Unfortunately I can't find the glitch. Any other thoughts. Thanks
