1. Re: Hardware controller for audio levels in Premiere?
John T Smith Aug 5, 2009 8:51 AM (in response to Mark Morreau)Just to clarify... I presume you are talking about an internal PCI Card for sound mixing?
I don't know of one, but for anyone else who reads this, you might post some more details

Mark Morreau Aug 5, 2009 9:22 AM (in response to John T Smith)Hi John,
Thanks for your reply. Obviously I need to be clearer
No, I'm not talking about a sound card. I'm talking about a hardware device, external, that looks like a sound mixing desk, with sliders/faders etc. Probably connects via USB or MIDI. Interacts with Premiere like, say, the Shuttle Pro does. These devices exist for Digital Audio Workstations, am wondering if they exist for Premiere!
Here's an example of what one looks like:

3. Re: Hardware controller for audio levels in Premiere?
John T Smith Aug 5, 2009 9:49 AM (in response to Mark Morreau)Ok... that will clarify for anyone else who reads this and may know of such a device
But... in general... I've read messages that Premiere's sound capabilites are "rudimentary" at best, so for serious sound work, something else (Audition?) is used
Which is to say... I doubt that such a device exists, since the number of people willing to buy a device like that is likely going to be a small subset of those who use Premiere
Have you Googled with the "likely" search terms?
I would think that if there is such a device, trying...
Adobe Premiere external sound mixer
...or similar would turn up some links
