I've inherited a couple of help systems that were originally created using the MadCap Flare product. I'm wondering if anyone has tried to "convert" a Flare help project into a RoboHelp project. Is it possible to do so, and, if so, how well does the conversion work? Are there any known issues or limitations that I can expect to encounter? Thanks !

According to the information in the linked page, the conversion is to RoboHelp 7. Do you know if it will work with RoboHelp 8 as well, as that's the version that I have.
Thanks!

Yes, but you will need some of the workarounds I referred to.

Hi, SanFranBean.
(As I post this, I see my buddy, Rick is milliseconds ahead of me as usual! Here's my post anyway.)
Yes you can! I have a home-grown Flare to RoboHelp converter which is not coded by Adobe, but it gets the job done. Oh, and it's free. There are some issues depending on the version of Flare and the version of RoboHelp, but most issues can be overcome. I have documented this and you can see it on my website.

Send me an email to the address in my profile. I'll send you the zip and documentation. Welcome to the wonderful world of Adobe RoboHelp.
Thanks!
John
