Captivate 3 and 4 - disconnect between background and background as it appears in the slide!

Has anyone seen the situation when the background image looks different in the library than when it is viewed in a slide?

I can edit and save the background but the slide does not alter, giving the impression that the background is uneditable.

I have had this happen twice in Captivate 3 and now have a co-worker reporting it in Captivate 4. It happens very infrequently.

A workaround was to past a "correct" background as an overlaid image in the timeline.

Has anyone an idea why how this situation is created? Is there a way to fix the actual background rather than just hiding it?

Try capturing by pressing Print Screen (vs. auto-capture).

Question: When you add the fixed background image and Merge to background does it look okay?
