P Spier Aug 25, 2009 4:27 AM (in response to Jeremy bowmangraphics-DQuh1B)You're located in the UK, right? You probably have a UK English localization (thought there are occasional reports of mixed languages showing up across different apps in a suite installation). As far as I know, which is admittedly not too far when it comes to this question, there is no way to change the interface language, but if there were it would probably be during installation. Might be controllable from a Registry Key in Windows, but I have no idea how that stuff is handled on Mac.

Jeremy bowmangraphics-DQuh1B Aug 25, 2009 4:54 AM (in response to P Spier)Hi Peter,
You're located in the UK, right?
Ireland, actually -- which would become the 51st state of the Union if I had it my way. We Europeans have to pay more for our Adobe products, and all we get to show for it is are these irritating misspellings!
Thanks for the response -- I was hoping there might be some simple preference setting hidden away in a folder somewhere, but from you say, it sounds unlikely.
Ah well, it could be worse -- Jeremy

[Jongware] Aug 25, 2009 5:51 AM (in response to Jeremy bowmangraphics-DQuh1B)Altho' being a good & honest Dutch citizen, I am firmly opposed to forcably translated software. I'm so much more used to using original American wares (besides, these are the cheapest and best updated). Had a row with a poor misunderstanding Adobe rep when I received a 'UK' version -- he told me this was the 'international' version, and there was nothing he could do about that ("so please stop shouting at me", etc.).
I still think it's a really, really weird thing to do, market-wise.

Jeremy bowmangraphics-DQuh1B Aug 25, 2009 10:24 AM (in response to [Jongware])At least I'm not alone in being irritated by it -- and the irritation evidently doesn't interfere with one's scripting abilities!

5. Re: My "Colour" Panel, etc.
FivePicaPica Aug 25, 2009 11:31 AM (in response to Jeremy bowmangraphics-DQuh1B)I never even thought about this before. I'm in Canada and we get the US version here. I'm used to having to switch my dictionaries over to "English (Canada)" and ignoring them half of the time (eg. we use UK's colour, and cheque, and US's aluminum and program. And we can add both one or two 'l's to traveled).
The word color doesn't bother me, but seeing centimeter instead of centimetre makes me a little crazy, but I'm pretty used to it.
