Can anyone help?

I have imported an audio file and have modified the position of the slide markers in the edit window so that it plays accross several slides as background music. Each time a slide changes the music drops out for a split second and then resumes.........pants!

Cheers

Are you running 7.0.5? Try upgrading and see if it fixes the issue.

Patch is available here;

Thanks for your quick response

...I've run the patch (up to vs 7.05) however the problem is still there, the audio drops out as each slide changes (chops out and back very quickly) Any more ideas welcome!

Can you try using the PPT format instead of PPTX? Or vice versa, to see if the problem goes away?

You can try the following

  • Use audio tool like Audacity to insert markers in the audio you were trying to import and then import this audio with markers using Adobe Presenter >Import Audio , keeping Ignore markers option unchecked
  • Try inserting Audio using Powerpoint and then Publish using Adobe Presenter . This will stretch the audio across slides (till the time it keeps playing ) but if you will navigate to that slide where you inserted audio , audio might play again leading to multiple playback of audio .

Many thanks for the tips, the first looks like a good idea, although I'm keen to find out why the software doesn't basically 'do what it says on the tin' in terms of playing audio accross slides as it should

Cheers!
