1. Re: what is wrong with my H.264 footage?
Harm Millaard Sep 9, 2009 3:53 AM (in response to luadke)Some material is for editing, some is for watching only. Your material clearly falls in the latter category. Play it with VLC.

luadke Sep 9, 2009 4:08 AM (in response to Harm Millaard)Is that really the best/only answer?
I want to be able to edit with it - that is the point. I tried converting it in VLC to a WMV and had the same problem.
Any other solutions?

3. Re: what is wrong with my H.264 footage?
Harm Millaard Sep 9, 2009 4:31 AM (in response to luadke)If a desktop sequence with this weird resolution and frame rate does not work, you have your proof that it is crappy material for editing. Try to get the original material with normal framerates and normal video resolutions, not this h.264 encoded material.

Bill Hunt Sep 9, 2009 8:14 AM (in response to luadke)For all things Apple (or nearly Apple), I also use QT-Pro. It does a great job with the Conversions/Exports.
Glad you got it sorted,
Hunt
