Crash when inserting image

Robohelp HTML x5.02

When I'm inserting an image into a topic, Robohelp crashes before the preview is available.  Thats all there is to it.  I've tried a 1/2 dozen times, my only guess is that it's a file size limitation, but I have put some pretty big pics in before.  The image is a 823k jpg.  I've inserted a few other jpgs and gifs and all seem to work.

Any thoughts?

I have seen the red square when I have saved an image over the top of an existing image with the same name. Usually a second attempt, or at worst, closing and reopening RH has fixed it.

You are saying RH crashes. Literally? The program closes with no chance to save?

Given another image works OK I am suspecting something is wrong with the image you are trying to insert. Can you recapture it? Can you reduce its resolution? That should still be good enough for help purposes.

How are you inserting the image? Simple pasting? Have you tried using the menu or toolbar to see if that makes a difference?

Try a smaller image as a test. Also try the same image in a new project.

I'm using the Insert toolbar to try inserting the image.  I'll try resizing and see if I get anywhere.

What I meant was a different image with a smaller file size. Depending on how you resize, it may not change the file size.

I did use a smaller (around 500k jpg) and that worked just fine.  I then used a smaller version of the img I'm trying to insert (664k) and that both previewed an inserted as a small red box with nothing inside of it.
