Hi guys,

I'm a Captivate beginner here...so apology if this sounds really stupid to you...

First time I encountered this problem with executables on CDs. Error message says:

FlashPlayer

Cannot open file C:\DOCUME~1\.....\.tmp

I published the executable selecting FlashPlayer7...my client has FlashPlayer 10 so it must be something else?

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Hi there

Does this happen on only one PC or is it all PCs you try it on?

If it only happens on one PC, perhaps the temp folder is full?

I believe that EXE format extracts to the temporary folder before running the content.

You might wish to try clearing the temp folder and trying again.

Cheers... Rick

Hi,

It's only ever happened with one client...others haven't reported the same problem at all. So I can only assume it's really the TEMP folder of that client's computer that's full.

Thanks for the advice! I'd take this to the client now.

Sorry to post again.

Client tried clearing the temp folder yet it still display the same error message. Any other problems that would lead to the executable not running itself?

Thanks again in anticipation.

Hi there

Perhaps insufficient privileges on the PC? Another thing to check is the Flash Player version installed. Perhaps upgrading to the latest version of the player is an option?

Cheers... Rick
