how to set up process to render the PDF from a XDP template

Hi,

We are new to the workbench and trying to set up the basic process and need help.. We just want to render an XDP file to the PDF format using the workbench. We could not find a proper documentation on how to set up the process. What ever we tried with the sample Mortgage application, it is not working. Can anyone has any document or steps on how to setup this simple process..

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Hi,

You can try setting up a PDFRenderProcess, to render XDP as PDF in workspace.

For more information on PDFRender Processes please refer to foloowing links

There is a document that talks about creating your first workflow:  http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/8.2/createfirstapp.pdf

Other than that, Forms renders a PDF from an XDP for interactive PDFs.  Output renders non-interactive documents

Hi

Thank you for the reply

I already went through the CreateFirstApp doc

In example its taking pdf as input doc

I want to give XDP as input and facing problem with it

Can you tell me specifically how to include XDP and what configurations I have to do in order to make it render as a form.

In the CreateFirstapp.pdf they have mentioned about creating the variables. I created a variable of type xfaform. I am having issues to set the value for this variable to point to my XDP. When I execute the process it is giving an error.

Thanks

If you just want to render a form as a PDF (not using Workspace) then have a look at the Forms renderPDFForm help.  It lists all of the parameters and their types.
