Pressing Control+Tab should be fine. Captivate should record
the keypress.
just make sure your windows are the same size. Probably
simplest to set the
screen to 1024x760 or 800x600 (if functionally appropriate)
then capture
full-screen.

You can easily get typical Captivate content across that sort
of bandwidth.
If you use no audio, it should perform somewhere between
acceptably and well
over a modem.
