1. Re: Clip art and messy borders?
Curt Y Sep 24, 2009 7:23 PM (in response to rkmjcha)I don't think there is any clip art in Photoshop. It caters to a different crowd. If you like it you can search the web and download what you want I am sure.

rkmjcha Sep 24, 2009 7:44 PM (in response to Curt Y)Thank you for your reply ....I hope there is some way that I can add clip art without having to use PE6....I would think because CS4 is a better version, it would have the same options AND more, so hopefully someone can enlighten me.
Thank you

John Joslin Sep 24, 2009 11:29 PM (in response to rkmjcha)It is assumed that Photoshop users have access to libraries of stock images or are capable of creating their own embellishments.
This avoids cluttering up the installation with stuff most people don't need.
There is a load of of stuff on the Adobe Exchange: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm or on the Microsoft site.

Semaphoric Sep 25, 2009 6:18 AM (in response to rkmjcha)If you still have PSE6, the clip art should be there. I would suppose it could be used in CS4.

5. Re: Clip art and messy borders?
Bill Hunt Sep 25, 2009 1:20 PM (in response to rkmjcha)Going back many versions, there used to be sample images included. Cannot recall if these were dropped in PS3, or PS4. There were few, though there were some ClipArt items, IIRC (may be thinking of AI).
As John points out, there are tons of libraries available for purchase, and if you have MS Office, MS has a ton of both stock photos, ClipArt and similar available. Do not know if that is available without Office.
There are also many sites that have a lot of decent ClipArt, and much of it is free, or reasonably priced.
The one thing to consider is the exact format of these. Some are bitmapped line art, and some are in proprietary formats, like WordPerfect's Graphics format. Others are Vector art and can be disassembled and reassembled at will. This will be easier in AI.
Good luck,
Hunt

6. Re: Clip art and messy borders?
Bill Hunt Sep 25, 2009 1:23 PM (in response to Bill Hunt)Here is the link to the MicroSoft site. You might need to check out what it takes to download and use these images and sounds. Seems that there is also a downloader that is required for bulk downloading and also a limit on the quantity at any one time.
Good luck,
Hunt
