Curt Y Sep 25, 2009 10:41 AM (in response to luckjsev7en)There were some posts about After Effects and Bridge awhile back about similar problems. If I remember correctly Bridge relies on QuckTime for viewing effects. Do you have a current copy of that installed?

luckjsev7en Sep 25, 2009 3:31 PM (in response to Curt Y)Hi Curt y,
I do have the latest Quicktime player installed, I would'nt have have thought that would halt me previewing CS4 after effect still shapes and backgrounds? but.. I'm not to sure if I'm honest.
well I tried uninstalling and reinstalled my player still no sucess sadly.
do you know roughly what date all these old threads popped up?
I'm going to scavenge for them anyway in the the hope I find something useful. *must be positive*

luckjsev7en Sep 26, 2009 10:30 AM (in response to Curt Y)thanks again curt y,
I had a look through you link, I think the person unfortunately had a slightly different issue from mine.
I thought I should post my query on the After effects forum aswell, If I find out what the problem is I will update it here also, fingers crossed.

Curt Y Sep 26, 2009 10:47 AM (in response to luckjsev7en)Sometimes even if it is a different problem it might give you some hint so thought it worthwhile to post.
Usually a preveiw problem is tied to graphics card. Since you updated you driver the only thing I could suggest is to go into advanced preverences and click on "use software rendering". Another long shot but easy to try.
Yes, let us know it you find solution.
