text field alignment when made visible - browser differences

Maybe this is just a browser issue, but it's about to make me flip out. I have a drop down list with "other" as the last option. Upon selecting "other", I have a text field appear which allows the user to type in whatever. The issue is when viewing this through the different browsers (Firefox, Opera, IE8, Safari, and Chrome), that "other" text field seems to want to align itself wherever it pleases. Since I can only upload 3 images, I've included some screen shots. Safari and Chrome seem to have the same effect (text field shifts to the next row). If you look at http://www.shan-dysigns.com/temp/tell-us-example.htm you can see what I'm dealing with. For those who might be able to help, you can either open this document in DW and look at source code to see all the code. I read somewhere that setting an overall value of margin and padding to 0 in your CSS can be a solution, but that didn't even seem logical.

if anyone could help, I would apprectiate it. Thanks...
