Problem running macro 1037

I get the same error message when I try to open any topic generated with a WinHelp 2000 primary layout:
"There was a problem running the macro. (1037)"

Test projects contain 1 plain-text line each. RoboHelp sample is a bit more complex, but I get the same error message in all cases. I need to know:
(1) What triggers the error
(2) If 1037 refers to an error number or a macro number
(3) Where error numbers or maco numbers are documented

Any help would be appreciated. I can't use this pricey upgrade and I don't have my original version of RoboHelp installed on this system.
