JSS1138 Nov 10, 2009 6:41 AM (in response to Keano66)Based on published info for the update, I'm not expecting much (or any) improvement to my own current work flow either.
C'est la vie.

Where did you learn to speak French so well, Jim?
Did you take a class or something or is it a God-given gift?

Alas, the two main areas which i was hoping this update would fix, unfortunately, are not there. I am talking about 1. The firewire out to external Monitor preview issue and 2. The Multi camera window issue in which it is hard to correct a previously made cut 'on the fly'. Both of these worked correctly with CS3.
Since our company spent the money to upgrade to CS4 I've been pretty disappointed with the "improvements" over CS3. Most of the problems I've experienced have been with exporting. I like the idea of having a separate encoder that you can queue up projects in, but half of the time my renders fail and they seem to take forever to load into the encoder. I never had this level of frustration with CS3.
I have noticed with the 4.2 update that the projects load more quickly from PPro to Media Encoder, but like you guys the update doesn't do much for me. All I can say is that it's looking less and less likely that we'll pay for CS5 and more likely that we'll move to Avid or Final Cut.

With all the goodies CS5 has in store for us, I would stick around a little longer if I were you.

Andy Urtu Nov 10, 2009 4:48 PM (in response to Webshark2000)As usual, Adobe goes for more features and does not fix the bugs! I am soooo frustrated. I really thought this was going to be a nice "fit and finish" update. By that I mean fix most of the bugs we have listed here. They are not all BIG bugs, but damn, would be nice to put some polish on this product. (Yes I have submitted offical bug reports).
Like the rest of you, no real improvement to our daily work flows.
Is there ANY grass that is greener than Adobe?
