1. Re: "Display Only Exact Name Matches" doesn't work in Win 7 64-bit either.
Bill Hunt Nov 12, 2009 9:34 AM (in response to Webshark2000)Going back to PrPro 2.0 and XP-Pro, I have had instances where I had to toggle this OFF and then ON, to get it to work. Do not know all of the criteria that cause this feature to hang, with with an uncheck/recheck, it's always worked - sometimes a lot of clicking though.
No help, just an old observation,
Hunt

Webshark2000 Nov 12, 2009 10:38 AM (in response to Bill Hunt)I'll give that a try and let you know if it works.

JSS1138 Nov 12, 2009 9:48 PM (in response to Webshark2000)It does not work in Win 7, either 32 or 64.

I know this has been reported as not working in Vista 64-bit, but just wanted to confirm that this is a bug for others using Win 7 64-bit as well. When you select it, it will checkmark the box, but keeps showing all the supported files.
Still have this problem after the most recent update.
That issue bugs me as well. Not to mention that when I copy over preview files, and link them when opening a project, I still have to render the timeline...if it can find them, why does it need to re-render?

5. Re: "Display Only Exact Name Matches" doesn't work in Win 7 64-bit either.
Toni_Martin Nov 19, 2009 4:50 AM (in response to Eric Addison)This just doesn't work. No matter how many times you tick the box on/off. And it's really a pain while working with projects on different workstations containing around 1500 video files! Especially now that Premiere isn't smart enough to search the subfolders of a project itself...
Anyone from Adobe that could give us a notice about if this feature will be fixed and when?

6. Re: "Display Only Exact Name Matches" doesn't work in Win 7 64-bit either.
joshtownsend Nov 19, 2009 4:12 PM (in response to Toni_Martin)Agreed it a PAIN. It doesn't work in win 7 64 nor did it work for me in Vista 64. I remember back when I had Vista 32 and it was a dream.
Now if I move my oroject and it's alot of files I open the project file as a text document. Search the old location "c:\movies" and replace with the new drive - "d:\movies\backup" or whatever.
I don't know **** about code or anything but and the project file might look really wierd but you can see a pattern to it and it pretty obvious which locations you need to replace.
I figure this one out of desperation - feature film - ton of missing files.

8. Re: "Display Only Exact Name Matches" doesn't work in Win 7 64-bit either.
Chuck A. McIntyre Nov 23, 2009 4:30 AM (in response to Webshark2000)Last week, the owner of the company I work for, asked me to check in the forum to see what's up with the broken "Display Only Exact Name Matches" on all of our Win 7 64 Professional systems. In our office, we usually keep our media on an external drive that gets passed around.
Anyway, it's a good idea to keep all media for a particular project on one drive and take note of the assigned drive letter. One convenient place is in the project's file name. That way, you can change the letter back in Computer Management/Storage. If the letter is already taken on another system, you can open the *.prproj in Notepad and do a "Find and Replace" of the filepath.
Perhaps a future release of Premiere could be designed to read the drive letter written in the Prproj and allow it to be reassigned and written to the prproj during the project "Open" process.
Hope the; "Display Only Exact Name Matches" gets fixed.

Bill Hunt Apr 19, 2010 12:55 PM (in response to Phoojoeniam)With CS5 on the horizon, we'll just have to see if this has been handled. If not, a quick toggle of the checkbox does it for me every time.
