Hello everyone
It has been ages since I posted here and I haven't used RoboHelp X5 in ages (We have migrated our project to MadCap Flare) so please bear with me.
I need to open an historical project with RH X5 to have a look at some CSH stuff.
To my surprise, I am asked to activate my copy of RH X5 and have discovered on the Internet that this was a known issue.
I read snippet 100 of Peter Grainge's website and tried to follow the steps described there and in
http://www.adobe.com/support/robohelp/downloads.html
However, or I need new glasses, or I am very tired, but I cannot find the mentioned X5.0.1 and X5.0.2 patches (looks like their hyperlinks have been removed from the document), nor the links that are apparently provided for cases where the auto-update feature is not accessible (which is my case, I cannot get in).
Can someone help?
Thanks in advance!

Hmm, I think I am being thick today. Finally found the links to the patches, which to be honest, are not easily identifiable...
It is nice to hear from a "familiar face". Thanks Colum.

See instead Snippets on my site. The second patch is badly labelled and I cover what you need to click.

Good morning Peter (long time no see!)
Thanks, I used your snippet as you are right, the patches are not easy to find. All fine now, I can open RoboHelp again .
Thank you again to Colum and yourself.

I changed computers, I installed X5, and I have run the 501 patch but get the following error for the 502 patch:
Unable to locate file.
c\users\name\AppData\Local\Temp\_isE5BF\RoboHelp Office X5.0.2 Update.msi.
I have tried saving/running the patch to the RoboHelp Office folder and I have tried saving/running the patch from this temp folder.
Has anyone seen this error before?

I believe that Peter Grainge has a whole chunk of detailed instructions on his website about this antique product. Check out his posts - his signature has his website address in it

Scratch that.
I did manage to get the X5.02 patch to run - apparently I didn't curse enough the first 10 times.
Now I am at the same VB .dll error that has been previously mentioned.
Not successful, but a little further....
